About Us

As a diverse group of seven-year-olds, the founders of the Brown Spot came together to overcome our emotional, physical and spiritual hurdles by raising awareness through the power of the written word. Together, we believe that we can soldier through the stereotypes set forth by society and fourth graders and think through problems ranging from racism, ageism, sexism and long division.

We've created this brain trust as a way to transcend the burdens that we face on a daily basis, such as learning Denelian Handwriting, and create a chuckle that can be appreciated by people from all walks of life. While we're based in Chicago and are predominantly satirical, we will occasionally feature nuggets of truth and feature diverse writers from all across these United States of America.
